Boys!

You may have noticed a lack of boys in my work... Well it's because I'm scared of drawing them - girls are so much easier to draw! I have been practicing to overcome my fear. Here is a page of biro doodle boys from my sketchbook...

Advent Calendar 1

Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year (I think anyone who doesn't agree is frankly mad!) I thought it would be fun to do an illustration a day as an advent calendar of christmassy doodles.

An experiment in Black and White

I have been attending a great children's book writing course this past year, (the tutor is wonderfully funny writer Lou Kuenzler) and have been thinking recently how I would really like to illustrate some young fiction titles.

Here is an image I have been experimenting on in this style...
